Friends of the Chariton
Airport Fly-In/Drive-In
Aviators and drivers alike are invited to the Chariton Airport each fall. Spectators can enjoy breakfast and view airplanes - both on the ground and in the air. Youngsters ages 8 - 17 may also participate in the Young Eagles program and enjoy a free ride in the sky. *Waiver Required*

Lucas County Arts Festival
Southern Iowa artists, photographers, and craftsmen are invited to showcase their talent each year during Lucas County Arts Council's annual Arts Festival. Find a variety of sculptures, paintings, illustrations, fabric art, jewelry, and photos as well as delicious food and live musicians all in one location.

Pierce's Pumpkin Patch
Since 1981, Pierce's Pumpkin Patch has been supplying southern Iowa with over 145 varieties of pumpkin, squash, and gourds - all of which are handplanted by a multi-generation family of pumpkin farmers.

Visitors can enjoy live animals, a haybale maze, and delicious fall treats, including caramel apples, apple cider, and more. Be sure to ask about the World War II airplane parked near Highway 14!
